Red Dead Redemption 2 Delayed Until Spring 2018.
It’s been a long time coming and something which we have all expected to happen, but if you’re thinking Red Dead Redemption 2 has been delayed… well you’re right. The news has come quite late today than usual, most probably because of Take-Two’s Earnings call is tomorrow, however Rockstar have confirmed that the game is now set to launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Spring 2018.
In a statement from Rockstar Games via the Newswire, they said;
“Red Dead Redemption 2 is now set to launch Spring 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This outlaw epic set across the vast and unforgiving American heartland will be the first Rockstar game created from the ground up for the latest generation of console hardware, and some extra time is necessary to ensure that we can deliver the best experience possible for our fans.
We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready. We are really excited to bring you more details about the game this summer
Spring 2018 starts on March 201th and ends on June 21st, so we’re expecting Rockstar to follow previous trends of a May release window. Our guess: Tuesday May 22nd, 2018. In the meantime, Rockstar have released 7 new screenshots (1 above and the other 6 below) for us to enjoy. The detail of the game is incredible and we are excited to see more of the world of Red Dead Redemption 2. The delay may come as some sad news as we say goodbye to a new game from Rockstar in 2017, however the short delay is clearly needed for them to perfect the game to a satisfied standard… and plus, we should be use to delays now anyway.
There is still no mention of the game coming to PC, so we’re expecting a separate and later launch like GTAV had.
